In Brief: Don't Look Down (2016) Tribeca 2016

Portrait of Richard Branson adventurer. This is the story of Branson's transatlantic and transpacific ballooning adventures.

A combination of film and video from the trips and the period mixed with talking head interviews with the people involved, DON'T LOOK DOWN shows how Banson's trips were truly momentous adventures. Yes, like all of the crazy stnts like this they are a bit self serving, but at the same time they were killer advertising and it was only through the flights that the Virgin beand name became such a hot commodity.

This is a super film. It works because it's one hell of a tale. Frankly I would love to see this story made into a feature film where we could go beyond the standard story telling into something truly emotional and rousing. Don't get me wrong I love the film I just wish it had been told a tad less conventionally.  Branson and his partners did some amazing things and they could use telling that is equally amazing.

Reservations aside this is just a super tale and a must see film.
